Dec. 24th - Tyler Reddick, Kyle Beattie and Clarence Marshall to
visit DuQuoin Illinois Jan. 22nd.
Press Release
During the short break between the Red Bluff Schedule,
Tyler Reddick and Tyler's Dad of Corning, CA , Kyle Beattie of Charlotte, NC and
Clarence Marshall of Gerber will be traveling to DuQuoin, Illinois to
race in their first ever "Sprint Kart" style of racing to held there at
their new facility. The race will be a two heat format with the
top finishers earning starting spots directly in the A-mains.
According to Shawn the Race Track Promoter, he is expecting there to be
on hand some 200 to 300 total racers as they'll be running their normal
race show and in addition the QRC Style of karts will be racing as well.
Drivers from all over the mid west will be coming. Mostly, the
Outlaw kart drivers will be much the same as the Knoxville Iowa event
that was held this last summer.
Additional driver's going along with the Reddick's will be named
following confirmation of their being able to get time to make the
winter trip.
Tyler Reddick will be sporting his SKE / BRE Karts in the Box Stock and 250 cc entries and Kyle
Beattie will be running the Open 500. Shawn is expecting over 30
opens, over 15 125's and estimates approximately 10 to 15 Box Stocks to
show for the event.
Predator Motor's Clarence Marshall will be bringing along some motors
for sale for those in the mid west that don't normally have access to a
Red Bluff Outlaws rule conforming power plant. Predator Motor's
Rock!
The group will be departing for Illinois on Jan. 19 and returning
immediately after the races are completed.
Dec. 18th - Red Bluff Outlaws
Tyler
Reddick - Re-gains Championship lead !
After setting fast time in qualifying, everything started to go down
hill as the line ups for the heat races would be full inverts. Tyler after
starting last in the first heat Tyler closed quickly on the 1st and 2nd place
cars. There he encountered trouble getting by Derek Kennemore.
For several laps Tyler chased Kennemore and the leader as they were
racing hard. Coming to
the checker, as Tyler went wide to attempt getting past 2nd he opened up
the bottom and was
passed by the kart behind him. Leaving Tyler to finish 4th. There were
four heats with the first two heats having an extra car as the kart
count was uneven. The last
two heats had an even amount of karts and would start six racers each.
With Tyler and Kellcy Bell both having an extra car to pass to
make the A-main from their heat race finishes. Both came in fourth
causing the two to be relegated to the B-main from which only the top four
finishers would go on to the A-main. Tyler and Kellcy made up the
front row as the B-main had five A-main regulars. The start saw
Kellcy out drag race Tyler to the first corner but by lap 3 Tyler took
the lead. On about lap six someone brought a yellow.
As Tyler slowed after taking the yellow, his motor just quit causing
Tyler to pit under yellow. After a quick spark plug change, he
re-entered the race from last in 16th. Tyler put on the
afterburners as he few from 16th to a 3rd place finish to make the A-main
transfer and help keep his championship quest alive. At a very critical point in the B-main, Tyler had moved
into 5th place with RJ Johnson and Tyler Seavey just in front of him.
Tyler made a outside move for two laps passing both of them on the
outside even as they pinched him against the wall, Tyler would not be
denied as he pass them both for a transfer spot and started to work on 2nd as the checkered fell.
In the A-main, Tyler started last and moved to a 3rd place finish. A red
flag came for Chase Hill being upside down after taking the lead away
from Jason Mittry. The red flag had the field revert back 2 laps
as not everyone had completed the last lap. The revert put Tyler
back in 3rd behind the #57 car verses 2nd as they restarted. Jason
Mittry took the checkered flag for the win with # 57 2nd and Tyler
Reddick 3rd, Chase Hill drove back to an 8th place finish and Kellcy
Bell was 7th.
The Night also saw Justin Reinolds leave the track by way of Ambulance as he end
up side down after flipping down the straightaway some three time before
being hit by another kart. Justin is reported to be home an okay.
Let's all hope that he is ready by the next event.
In the 125's,
Kyle Larson finished 2nd to Silverman as Silverman made it two in a row!
Dec. 11 - rboutlaws - QRC All-Star Tour final race
IZZY OZBORNE - QRC All-Star PARTY - if you didn't make the party,
You missed it! A Great time....
Thanks Bob, Robert and all of QRC!
The final QRC All-Star tour race for the 2004 season finished at the
home of the Red Bluff Outlaws in Red Bluff, Ca. With track and
weather conditions at their best, it was a sure promise for some of the
best racing happening anywhere. The drivers flooded the scene to
finish out their run at the points standings and earn their part of the
money to be paid out at the QRC All-Star Tour Banquet.
Many drivers would be allowed to pull double duty by running two
divisions. This is the only time at RBOUTLAWS that you can
double-up in classes. Many drivers from the Open Intermediate
division would get their chance to try their skills against seasoned
Open vets like "Pistol" Pete Johnston, the Becker's and McCain's and
others. Kyle Larson was one such driver who competed this year on
the tour in an unprecedented three divisions. I'm sure that has
not been done before or at least in recent history. Kyle started
his night by winning his heat in the Open division impressively over
McCain and others. WOW!
Kyle Larson Rocks!

Tyler Reddick opened his night by qualifying 2nd fast to Chase
Hill, winning his heat race, finishing 2nd in the dash to Kenny Allen
and 3rd in the A-main. Before the main event started, Garth Moore
( Mason Moore's dad ) came over to tell me, "I can't wait to see Tyler
in the A-Main. He is one of the only kids that is not afraid to drive
the car anywhere. He will be outside doing whatever it takes and
it will be something to watch." Tyler didn't tell me he was going
to run outside....! So, I don't were Garth got his information.
He must have been off making bets with Tyler before the race. When
Tyler couldn't get around "Racin" Jason Mittry, he moved up high to
attempt to get by him for 2nd. Tyler was successful and it was fun
to watch, because it is rare that a box stock driver moves up the track
to pass one of the front runners. It was something to watch as
Tyler hung it outside to get by Jason, as they worked lappers. On
the very lap that Tyler made the pass, he couldn't complete the deal as
a lapper on the outside slowed Tyler and Jason was able to slip back
under him.
Casey McClain was very fast and raced toe to toe with Tyler for several
laps, which gave a great display of close, hard racing! Nice
Job Casey! Congratulations on your 4th place finish. So
the race closed with RJ Johnson taking the win, Jason Mittry 2nd, Tyler
Reddick 3rd, Casey McClain 4th, Chase Hill 5th.
The points night finished up with Tyler being able to come from a 19
points deficit behind 1st place points runner Kellcy Bell, cutting it
down to 3 points with 6 races remaining. Chase is right behind
Tyler as Red Bluff is starting to take the shape of the Cycleland points
battle between Chase Hill and Tyler Reddick.

Nov.27- Lakeport Indoor Series
Tyler Reddick and Kyle Beattie went to Lakeport for the
2nd race in the Winter Series as Red Bluff Outlaws was on a rare break.
Lakeport had a good turn out in Kart count with lots of good racing.
The schedule was very full as they had to get in the Box Stock and Open
division main from last weekend as they were delayed due to a power
outage. The Open division saw approximately 32 plus entries.
The box stock division had approximately 21 entries. The 125's
approximately had 20 entries. The Box Stock A-main from week #1
saw Cameron Bartlet take the win with James Edens 2nd. Once the
first weeks mains were complete, the show got started for the week #2
race's. Tyler Reddick won both of his heat races from starts in
the middle of the field. That gave Tyler the best combination of
finishes which placed him starting last for the trophy dash. Tyler
was able to get to third and had been working over the second place
driver for about 2 laps but couldn't get by before the checker fell.
The 3rd place finish placed Tyler on the inside of row 2 for the A-main.
James Edens was on the poll and Bartlet was on the outside of Tyler on
row 2. In just a few quick laps, James Edens and Tyler Reddick
were lapping traffic and racing each other very hard. Both had to
race through heavy traffic to the finish on a single grove track.
The last few laps saw repeated yellows and on the restarts Tyler was all
over James Edens as he was for most of the race. It was clear that
Tyler was faster but just couldn't get by without the taking the chance
of hard contact. On the last lap on turns 3-4 Tyler made on outside move
which made the end of the race very exciting as it appeared that Tyler
may have won the race. The Flag Man called Edens the winner as
Tyler must have come up just a little short. Congratulations
James Edens! So the race ended with James being first and
Tyler second.
Kyle Beattie had an exciting night as his BRE Kart was very fast.
Kyle having lots of racing experience but limited time in Outlaw Kart's
drove some very aggressive races in try to bring home a win. In
both his heat races things happen to put him behind on a track that was
next to impossible to pass on. Kyle was much faster than most of
the other competitors on the track but poor starting positions hindered
the nights efforts.
Kyle managed to get to a transfer spot in the B-main after starting last
in the 16 kart field. Shortly after a couple of karts in front of
him were having contact and took themselves and Kyle to the back.
Kyle again was back up towards the front working on a transfer spot when
another wreck collected Kyle. The contact cause the silencer to come off
and after leaving the track for repairs, Kyle re-entered but was again
last with a just a couple of laps remaining.

Kyle Beattie is out this week to race at Lakeport indoor series this
coming weekend. Kyle is from Charlotte NC and is a normal in the Inex 600 racing Thunder Roadster Nationals. In addition, Kyle has
been spending lots of time racing in the Hooters Pro Cup Series and even
made his first attempt in the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series at Richmond.
Kyle also raced his CRRACING Sponsored ride in a BRE Factory Kart in
Knoxville this last summer. Kyle got to test is skill racing
against drivers like J.J. Yeley and Kyle Larson, Mason Moore and others.
Kyle was in a great position to win when over taking the leader, the
leader had something break in the steering causing both to go to the
wall resulting in Kyle flipping and being out for the rest of the day as
the Kart was damaged.
Watch for Kyle in the years to come as he is returning to the Hooter Pro
Cup Series this coming year! Go Kyle...!
Nov. 20th - Red Bluff Outlaws
Well, we only say it how it is....,
After the mess last week with the track officials calling foul on
Predator Motors for having dimpled pistons, this week they announced
that they would not allow any protest, as they knew that all engines had
not been converted back to the track rules.
In doing so, they basically created a situation where all bets were off
holding to the rules as the competition could let their conscious be
their guide. Track officials said they would watch to spot any
standouts and check them appropriately. After the A-main, a driver
in the field entered a protest to have the 57 - Heinz's engine
inspected. Immediately thereafter I saw the
car, the Hill
car and Nunes car report to track side. Later with there being
discussion between track officials and Mittry and Heinz, it all ended
with no inspections being performed. All the top Predator Motors
drivers engines had been changed prior to the event ( Thanks to
Clarence Marshall ) and were running legal against who knows what in
the rest of the field. So still no surprise that Predator
Motors Rock Dimpled or Not were at the front of the
qualifying and ran the front of the A-main prior to spin outs and cars
getting tied up on what was by my estimation a track that was very dry
and dusty. The track conditions in essence created a wild card
night in who knew what was going to happen on a track that would surely
cause many problems for drivers all night. Tyler set fast time
at near his track record time 10.127, finished 3rd in the dash won
his heat and finished 6th in the A-main after being tied up and going to
the back. Kellcy Bell led early and was tied up on a lapper which
put her at the back and put ????? ????? in the lead. With
the track conditions being basically single grove and very hard to
pass...most of the field finished as they broke out from the start.
Kellcy and Tyler put on a very good show being a couple of the only real
movers as they fought hard to get back towards the front before race end
to protect their points. Tyler will have moved from 28 points out
of first after the points penalty to being 21 points from first after
last nights race. Go Tyler!!!!! Jason Mittry finished 2nd
and Seth Nunes 3rd with Chase Hill 4th Tyler Seavey 5th and Tyler
Reddick 6th Casey McClain 7th and Kellcy Bell 8th.
Nov.13th - Red Bluff Outlaws

A great night of racing ended with the top three finishers being
inspected by track officials. The outcome of the tech inspection
discovered that the majority of the racing field had altered pistons.
The rule of "if it doesn't say you can, you can't" was invoked and only
the inspected participants will be docked for the infraction. The
penalty will put Tyler back to 2nd place in the points with 10 races to
go. Go Tyler!
Tyler Reddick Racing will accept the outcome of the inspection,
but maintains that no intention was made to step outside the rule.
In fact, it is acknowledged by the various engine builders that most all
participants had some alteration in the area of the piston. The number
of unaltered pistons is estimated to be in the area of approximately 5
out of an entire field of approximately 60 racers of
both Box and Beginner Box Stock classes. We
were not doing anything that no one else was doing. In addition, Tyler's piston had been inspected on the QRC Tour along with other engines with this
alteration and No Violation was declared.
Changes will be made and prove that it wasn't a competitive
advantage in the future races. Certainly the racers
that have been at the front will stay at the front in the races to come.
Tyler Reddick Racing does acknowledge that the cost saving strategy in
the rule is in the best interest of the majority of the racers. This
will help set the direction of the future engine rules for Red Bluff and
the surrounding area.
Tyler Reddick has been one of the most tech-inspected drivers in
the last 3 years and has never been tagged until now. When you're at
the top, sometimes others just want to bring you down. We'll just
keep trucking and let our accomplishments speak for themselves.
Our special
Thanks to Predator Motors and BRE FACTORY Karts
and our other sponsors Corning Ford and Broken Bow
Records for their support and efforts in putting one of the
best Box Stock programs on the racetrack today!
Another issue that came to light, is that an individual has been
claiming Corning Ford buys Tyler's wins. A completely ridiculous
statement. (Obviously Tyler has been favored in this
instance!)
This will hopefully quiet the nonsense - Possibly they just need a
handicap!
Nov. 6th - Red Bluff
Box Stock
Points Race #4 saw some very tight
qualifying times in the Box Stock division as the top 3 qualifiers timed
in within .009 of a tenth of each other. The order was Kellcy
Bell, Chase Hill and Tyler Reddick. Again the entire field
had complete inverts for the heat races. Many of the front
runner's found their way to the front for the heat wins. All the
normal A-main drivers went right to the A-main this week as well.
The main event saw a very aggressive Chase Hill brings the yellow on the
opening lap and upon restart everyone was clean. Chase Hill found
himself in the back again after drawing more contact spinning out Jason Mittry later in the race. Somebody needs to settle him down a
little as rolled up black flags are not being effective to counter a
already known rough driver. Chase was very fast...but still needs
to learn how to stay out of trouble. As Chase and Mittry were
spinning, it saw Tyler Reddick make a strong inside move to avoid the
wreck which shot Tyler up over the inside berm putting his kart
completely air-borne at about a 60 degree angle. The move was
rather spectacular as Tyler got by clean and was on his way towards the
front. After last week suffering a chain derailment in the rough
track conditions, the new chain guides seemed to take care of the chain
business this week when the going got rough but saw a throttle link
malfunction slow Tyler's pace from normal. The good news is that
now fixed and with his fresh motor with now one race on it, Tyler should
be good to go hammered down and we should see some good racing between
him and the other drivers. In the closing laps, Seth Nunes slowly
pulled away from Tyler and Chase to win his first Box Stock A-Main.
Tyler and Chase stayed the same in points on the night and are still
Tyler #1 and Chase #2 with only a 17 point difference.
Open
The open A-Main saw some great racing up front and some very aggressive
driving by Pistol Pete Johnson who found himself tangled up a couple
times. Not all Pete's fault as things just happened. Pete
did with a battered Kart finish around 4th place through shear
determination to go forward. Steve Gannon brings home the win.
Breaking News - Oct 30, 2004

Tyler Sets New Track Record qualifying at a 10.005 - Red Bluff
Outlaws Box Stock
Congratulations Tyler!
The Red Bluff Outlaw Officials decided to put a twist in the normal
program with surprising the drivers with a full invert all evening.
After qualifying fast time of 10.005 and a new track record..., Tyler
showed his skills by first running a masterful heat race to earn
his spot in the A-Main event. Having to start from the
last row by himself, Tyler quickly went to work running the inside for
about 3 laps passing the field for the lead by lap four. Tyler
didn't look back and pulled away for the heat win. In the Trophy
Dash, starting again from last row outside with Chase Hill inside, Tyler
in avoiding the spin of Seth Nunes was put way behind the field before
being able to clear. After clearing Nunes, Tyler raced hard
catching the field managing to pass Kellcy Bell for 4th before the
checker. In the main event, the line up was the same as the dash.
A full invert for the top six qualifiers placing Tyler on the outside of
row 3 next to Chase Hill. The line up was Row 1:
Zachary Heinz and
Kellcy Bell, Row 2:
"Racin" Jason Mittry and
Seth Nunes, Row 3:
Chase Hill and
Tyler Reddick with the remainder of the field in tow.
The Main event went through a restart as several cars had contact in the
opening lap. All but one car was able to continue which drew the
yellow causing the restart. On the restart, everyone was clean and
racing was under way. Tyler made a outside move on the first
corner which he then brought down for turns 3 - 4 and was on his way
towards the front. Kellcy Bell ended up high on turns 1 -2 but manage to
get herself up front in short order. Tyler by about lap 4 was
working on Kellcy and made a move around the bottom to overtake her for
the lead. Tyler then slowly started to pull away out front.
A series of yellows and miss fortune end Tyler's night finishing 6th
when coming to the checker still in the lead, with less than a 1/4 of a lap to go and after
leading most of the race his chain had come off as he had coast to the
line being over taken by the top five.
Tyler still managed to add to his point lead another 5 points.
So all was not lost in a night that was clearing Tyler's and should have
been three in a row. Others, Jason Mittry, Casey McClain and
Andrew Anderson retired early due to the 2 spin rule.
Oct 23, 2004
Second race of the season and 9 year old Tyler Reddick took a
commanding lead of the Red Bluff Outlaw's Box Stock Division last night.
Tyler only came up short of a perfect night by missing fast time.
He won his heat race, trophy dash and main event in very strong show of
dominance. Tyler's engine for qualifying had ended up being tuned a
little on the lean side not providing the power necessary for a perfect
lap. Later in the evening with tuning corrected, Tyler marched on
to victory with ease.
Opening Day - October 16, 2004 - Red Bluff Outlaws Round One - #11 Tyler Reddick
Wins ! Comes away with points lead of a 14 race series. After successfully
earning 3 other Championships this summer alone, Tyler sets out to earn his fourth
Championship of the summer by hopefully winning the coveted Red Bluff Outlaws
Series. That would bring his Championships to a total of six.
Go Tyler......!!!!!. .
#11 Tyler Reddick - Turning it up at Red Bluff Outlaws October 16. 1st place finish
in the main event. Tyler was 2nd fastest time, won his heat race and drove with
strong determination to pass several cars to take the lead and bring home the
"WIN" in the first race of the Series. The Competition is going to be real
stiff as many kids have loads of talent. Here's Congratulations to all the winner's
in advance!
